Ibérica de Patatas buys the Malaga crop
Malaga boasts the earliest Spanish crop and it is being bought up entirely by this company from Madrid.
Since the middle of March, Ibérica Patatas, one of the main Spanish packaging and sales companies, has put Malaga potato into retail stores. The company has bought more than 500,000 kilos of produce from the 1,000 farmers in the province.

New potato from Malaga can be bought in Carrefour stores across Spain.
In March, the only new potato on the market is from this Andalusian province and it competes with that of Morocco and Israel. This is a unique product that brings value to the standard ranges in stores, as well as, at the same time, encouraging the consumption of seasonal Spanish produce. |
